Elon Musk says he has hired a new CEO to lead twitter. In a tweet, he said
“excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~ 6 weeks. My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing products, software & sysops”
In December 19, 2022, twitter users voted overwhelming in a poll against Elon Musk being the CEO of the social media platform following what many regarded as a his chaotic and controversial leadership at twitter. The poll result showed that 57.5% voted for him to step down. Since then, he has been under intense pressure to name someone else to lead the company.
Following the announcement, Tesla’s stock jumped to about $3 just after the Musk’s tweet. Investors at Tesla are also said to be relieved that the announcement will boost Tesla’s reputation after what they regarded as Musk’s abandonment of Tesla.
