Visas for migrant farm workers announced in UK

The United Kingdom (UK) has been struggling with soaring prices of food just like a lot of many nations. In this gathering, Rishi Sunak, the UK prime minister announced an extra 10,000 visas for the agricultural sector workers. Although several border control measures aim to reduce cross border migration, deficit of certain categories of workers in most western nations have prompted measures to shore up their work force. The 10,000 visas announcement for the agriculture sector is an addition to the previously 45,000 visas quota for the same sector which was announced in 2022.
