A Texas woman who was mowing her lawn was injured by a hawk after it dropped a life snake on her accidentally. The hawk was passing with its prey that was still alive at the moment when the snake fell on the woman. the snake wrapped itself around her arm and started striking her face severally.
According to the BBC article, the passing hawk immediately swoop down angrily to reclaim its prey and in the process, the woman was severely injured by the hawk and the snake. The entire situation left her with tears, cuts and bruises to her arms and face. The hawk was unrelenting trying to rescue her prey and had struggled for awhile until it was able to reclaim its prey.
The woman, Mrs Jones, according to the report lives in a rural Texas county and is very familiar with wildlife encounters. But despite her familiarity with wildlife in her county, she acknowledged that she was terrified as the entire episode was very horrifying.
She was immediately rushed to the hospital by her husband and is recuperating well.
“As I was trying to sling my arm and sling the snake off, the snake wrapped around my arm,” she narrated to CBS News. “I was slinging and slinging, he was striking and striking, and he just kept hanging on”.
According to her, the entire ordeal left her traumatized and unable to sleep for several days.
