Bio-Research & Agricultural Sciences Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal focused on the publication of original and high-quality research articles in the broad spheres of Biological and Agricultural Sciences. The journal prioritizes and welcomes findings of experimental studies and may also accept basic research articles (with overtly novel and useful output). Original articles, review articles (in relevant field of study), short communication, and case reports may be submitted.
Peer review
To ensure research integrity and the publication of quality research, all research articles are peer-reviewed. Submissions are subjected to double independent experts’ peer-review process.
Peer review policy
Papers submitted must be complete, novel and original. All submissions must be accompanied with a cover letter which clearly states that the article(s) has not been published elsewhere (in part or full) and are not also being considered for publication in another journal. This excludes part presentations as abstracts, lectures or thesis.
The corresponding author is fully responsible for every submission and must ensure that all authors approve the publication of their articles. Plagiarism is a serious academic theft. Thus, all submissions will be checked for plagiarism. A text resemblance of more than 15% will result in the rejection of manuscript. An editor will receive and evaluate every manuscript to decide its suitability for peer review. Editors with interest in any manuscript will be excluded from the peer review process management. Two experts in similar or related filed will be assigned to review each manuscript. Any manuscript without two positive reviewers’ recommendations will not be considered for publication. All invited peer reviewers should notify the Editor of any potential conflict of interest.
Authorship:
People who contributed significantly to any research work are considered as authors. Such authors should understand that they are fully responsible for every published work and should account for its content. All listed authors should qualify for authorship. This implies that they participated in the concept, design, experimentation, data analysis and interpretation, as well as manuscript preparation. Funding of research work does not qualify authorship.
Authors should choose one person to be the corresponding author. All correspondence will be through the corresponding author. They make the submission, sign publishing agreements, provide authors details in correct sequence and ensure that all details are submitted correctly.
Change of authors after manuscript submission may only be considered in exceptional circumstances. The journal editorial secretariat must be first notified before such change or addition. The removal or addition of authors must comply with out authorship criteria. The Editor reserves the right to accept or reject any author change that does not comply with our policies. Once an article is accepted for publication it may not be possible to effect any author change or addition. Thus, the corresponding author should ensure that all qualified persons are listed correctly prior to manuscript submission.
Ethical approval:
Research projects involving human and animal participants should be approved by relevant ethical committee. Thus, submission of such study for evaluation in the Bio-Research and Agricultural Sciences Journal should be accompanied by appropriate statement and certification. Should there be any doubt about compliance with any laid down ethical standard, appropriate explanation must be given by authors. Any exemption should be clearly stated in the manuscript.
Original article: original articles should have new research outputs with significant contribution to knowledge. The journal welcomes original articles of no more than 4500 – 5000 words.
Manuscript preparation
